21 Century Breakdown Almost Killed Green Day?

According to The Sun, a british publication, Green Day’s latest album 21st Century Breakdown (which drops May 15th, preorder here) almost killed them. Billie says he was almost hopitalized due to the “boogie woogie flu”. Regarding the high expectations from their new album Bille commented

“This is the album that could have killed us. We had set the bar so high with American Idiot.”

Further more, he used his Blackberry to jot down ideas, to the point of insanity and insomnia.

“I had many a sleepless night where I’d get something and have to get up and tap it into my BlackBerry.”
