Billie Joe’s take on American Idiot the Musical

Some weeks ago Green Day announced that American Idiot was being made into a musical. Yes a musical. Billie Joe did an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine after seeing the musical for the first time. He explains how weird it is to have his songs sung to him:

They embody the whole thing. Then I went to a workshop [for American Idiot], and I couldn’t fucking believe it. It’s incredible — all those voices singing your songs at you.

Sounds like an interresting event to see. If you are interested, American Idiot the Musical will be playing September 4th to October 9th at the Berkeley Repertory Theater in Berkeley, California.
