Green Day announced on the Kevin and Bean show (local radio in Los Angeles) that there is something in the works in regards to bringing Green Day songs to the Rock Band videogame franchise. Could it be something like Rock Band; Green Day edition or just a song pack? Well, details aren’t very clear but it would be awesome if they took it the whole nine yards, joining Metallica and the Beatles. They certainly have an extensive catalog of songs, from the old Dookie days to 21st Century Breakdown? When? Not even Billie Joe was sure. When asked, he said

“I’m not sure…soon. Like I think not this week, but this year soon…by the end of this year.”

The details aren’t clear either:

While it’s unclear whether Armstrong was referring to a simple pack of DLC or a full-on, dedicated Green Day expansion, the singer did provide a tiny bit of insight as to when you can expect to see the band in Harmonix’ rhythm game: “I’m not sure. Soon. Like, I think… not this week, but this year soon.”
